Ghost Fox Toys (Michelle and Gino)
October 2020 came and went and we survived the “Curse of the 31 Customs” ! In late August we came up with the idea to put together a “Drawlloween” of sorts, but for toy customizers of all levels.
We not only wanted to put out a prompt list, we wanted to push ourselves to create all 31 customs. On September 1st we got to work sculpting and painting. Then in a flash, October 1st came around and we started posting our customs one by one. (We still worked a bit into mid October, finishing up some of the later days).
Cut to Halloween, we posted our final and largest piece titled: Night of the the Living Pumpkins. In the end we actually ended up with 34 customs because of the extras we made and added along the way. To see closeups and turnaround images of each custom, check out our Instagram @ghostfoxtoys
The cursed toys did not stop with us. Other artists also participated and shared their toys and concept drawings on Instagram using the hashtags #curseofthe31customs and #31cursedcustom. Our 31 customs will be available for sale Today on Monday, November 2nd @ 11am PST (7pm BST) on our website HERE There is only one of each custom, so remember to set your alarms. The sale will only last for 48 hours, and we are excited to offer both domestic and international shipping options.
