That JPK, can’t stop flexing his skills! Another platform ticked off his list as he customs Shark Boy which the original figure by Momoco Studio????) . Meet “Come Closer, See the Show” by Jon Paul Kaiser, JPK did say don’t look too close as it tends to BITE. Winning the DTA might have given JPK a little push to keep upping his level up another notch as he’s flexing his sculpting skills and adds a marionette ( a puppet worked by strings to me and you)
The shark tries to lure in gullible prey with his puppet show, trying to offset his mean appearance and menacing tattoos he thinks he can bring in the crowds to watch his marionette dance. Step closer.. watch the show – JPK
Loving the splashes of colour from JPK as well as his signature noir shadowing. We still don’t know how he can manage to paint tattoos by freehand on such small figures. One thing we have to say, as much as we love tattoos on JPK work, we hope JPK doesn’t do too many (unless his collectors want them, which wouldn’t surprise us) we would love to see more customs and OOKA sculpts and designs *COUGH, stay tuned…… Something from JPK is KRACKINGLY good!
Could this custom from JPK catch the attention of Momoco Studio????) and make Momoco Studio????) have a joint production version with JPK Shark boy? Fingers crossed as it would look cool.
If you’re like us and you want something this fabulous, you can get in contact with JPK via Email to get on to his commission list as he has 2 more space left for October. Tell him The Toy Chronicle sent you 🙂 Don’t forget to check out JPK on Facebook, Twitter & Instagram.
