This past weekend Clutter Gallery hosted an exhibition of toys being reimagined. Reinvention. A whole host of artists from around the world had the opportunity to take a platform and re-imagine them as a popular Designer Toy. You can see the work below, along with links to purchase the art.

Not a Toy – A 2.5″ tall vinyl Egg Qee modified by Lisa Rae Hansen to appear like Amos Toys’ Another Generic Character figure. Comes with a removable sign that makes the figure roughly 4.5″ tall. Available for $150/£96 HERE.

BuffMadl – A 5″ tall vinyl MAD*L figure’s head modified by Manly Art to appear like Buff Monster’s eponymous figure. Available for $80/£51 HERE.

Life Time – A 20″ tall Dunny shape created by Nikejerk (Jared Cain) completely out of smaller toys. This plastic sculpture comes in two parts, the head affixing to the body by way of a heavy-duty magnet. Available for $1500/£960 HERE.

Monraw – A 8″ tall vinyl Dudebox Dude modified by Grapheart (Grégory Demont) to appear like Brandon Monroe’s Sour figure. Sculpted into place with polymers is an actual wood twig as the topper. Available for $300/£192 HERE.

Munny Shines – A 4″ tall vinyl Munny modified by Mike Strick to appear like cymbal-banging monkey toy. Heavily altered with epoxy clay, the piece stands roughly 8″ tall now. We covered this piece HERE. Munny Shines has already sold.

Chueh Chi-Chi – A 4.5″ tall vinyl Chi Chi modified by Candie Bolton to appear like Luke Chueh’s Black in White and Red All Over figure. Comes with a pine base that has been sculpted on. Complete piece is roughly 7″ tall with a 4″ diameter. Available for $300/£192 HERE.

Gay Empire: Toad Wars – Three 4″ tall plastic Bucky O’Hare toad figures hand-painted by Joe Whiteford to appear like Sucklord’s Gay Empire piece. The figures have been painted with some blacklight sensitive and glow-in-the-dark elements. Comes sealed in a 16 x 13 in. backing board specially made by Whiteford. Available for $280/£180 HERE.
