Catalonian illustration master FLÜKE, has taken part in the “The truth about Pinocchio” exhibition. The exhibition is about a different way of telling stories of PINOCCHIO, which is a group exhibition organised by Art Toy Gama Collective and you can see the whole line up of artists taking part HERE . FLÜKE wasted no time in making his story into a full custom Munny and Dunny.
“Tales from the Hard Side” is a personal view on a hypothetical second part of the story. Debts drown Geppetto that due to the crisis, see how your business is in decline. The bank is threatening to evict his home-workshop and ends up committing suicide, leaving Pinocchio orphan. The little boy decides to live on the street and joins a posse, as their only support, Jiminy Cricket, has become a wealthy and unworried cricket.
FLÜKE clean lines and adding extra sculpt when needed just shows the how much of a perfectionist he is. Jiminy Cricket tilted hat to Geppetto added extra depth to the hair line was a great touch. FLÜKE’s Geppetto facial expression is right on the money, captures that mean look and stance.
