Behind The Scenes With 2PetalRose

We love to have a small glimpse behind the scenes of artists while they are hard at work. This week we get the chance to look at 2PetalRose work his magic. Hopefully showing you all how he crafts his artwork and a sneak peek at future releases. Now is your chance to enter the world of 2PetalRose.

Anyone questioning the quality and craftsmanship will just have to look at the surgical precession. Using fabric has always been a strong point for 2PetalRose carefully selecting the appropriate pattens and colours. The fabric 2PetalRose uses are all designed in house.

Last year we saw the release of 2PetalRose “Shikomi” Art action figure and now he’s been preparing Hondo! the first character from 2PetalRose Shogun Rebels series. 2PetalRose is in the process of making a non articulated Shikomi so 2PetalRose can lower the price point slightly. Hondo will also follow in the same direction but with extra detail, which you can see in the video. non articulated won’t harm the beauty or quality of Hondo as the video showed us. Sculpting and casting in house gives 2PetalRose more hands on to quality control.

We’ve heard a few collectors say why some resin made toys are so expensive. Yes that my be true but look at the hard work that goes into it. There are plenty or crap resin toys that give resin the bad stigma, but toys/sculpture that 2PetalRose is prime example or you get what you pay for.

2PetalRose MAIKO’s are a perfect example.

Endless colour pallet matching getting weathering right.  2PetalRose uses Vallejo and Citadel paints for most of his work.

Pretty tidy studio… we do wonder if 2PetalRose cleaned it up especially for us.
