So there is a popular question that is often thrown towards The Toy Chronicle on a regular basis. It’s to be expected too, we have our ear to the ground, always listening out to know what is going on with the vinyl toy market in the UK. Folks that read our blog, and follow us on Social Media, repeatedly ask the question – “Where to buy Kidrobot in the UK?”. The Toy Chronicle want to answer that question for you in one simple post.
Whilst the UK no longer has an official Kidrobot store, it still has plenty of places to get your hands on some glorious Designer Toy goodness. Back in 2013, when the Kidrobot London store closed its doors for good, many thought that the UK Designer Toy scene would die a death. Nope. Thankfully that wasn’t to be.
Our number one go-to Kidrobot stockist in the UK is Collect & Display. An online venture from Essex. Lee at C&D does a great job trying to get hold of any new releases. Great prices and superb customer services. We can highly recommend Collect & Display. C&D currently have a whole bunch of older open Dunny Blind Boxes available to purchase HERE.
If you’re looking for a physical store, there are a number of possibilities available to you. You may recognise the first name we suggest, as they have quite a strong presence in most of the UK’s biggest cities. Forbidden Planet. Primarily a comic book store, they do stock a fair amount of Kidrobot Blind Boxes and other KR lines. You can check out all their stores on the Forbidden Planet website HERE.
If you’re in the Manchester area, you may need to visit Richard Goodall Gallery for your Kidrobot fix. Next to their Art Gallery, Richard Goodall has his shop with an array of Kidrobot goodness. Perhaps a little overpriced, they do stock a lot of older Kidrobot releases. They also have an online store HERE if you’re not in the Manchester.
Other notable mentions go to dinkybox.co.uk and designertoystore.co.uk – although had no experience dealing with these guys before, so can’t pass judgement.
If you know of any other stores (online and/or bricks & mortar) in the UK that stock Kidrobot Designer Toys, please let us know & we’ll update our list.
