It has been over a year in the making but boy its worth the wait. Back in May 2016 ??? Lolonine of the White Pin collective came out with 4 resin prototypes of his “Bulletproof Beetles” which caught our attention as it was pretty unique. Like we said before, his work is something different and we don’t see anything like it within the scene right now. His creations interpreted from life experiences.
His work is something different and we don’t see anything like it within the scene right now. His creations interpreted from life experiences. Who would have thought a Rhino Beetle would work as an art toy!
“Nothing can crack the shells of ‘Bulletproof Beetles.’ Their story is about making themselves more impenetrable in order to protect themselves and their clan from their enemies.Anyone, who loved insects as a child, must have memories about searching for a beetle in a forest. I hope that ‘Bulletproof Beetles’ bring back childhood memories that have been dug deep in the minds of people surviving through the hustle and bustle of today’s society.”
