Disney x ActionCity is proud to launch Mickey Jiangshi – the first-ever art collectible designed by Singaporean sculptor Daniel Yu that is inspired by Mickey Mouse and the Jiangshi, a popular character in Chinese folklore!
Daniel Yu is one of Singapore’s most established toy artists and sculptors, whose fictitious characters and sculpts have enjoyed a cult following amongst the urban and subculture art scenes. Focusing on Jiangshi as a pop culture art form, Yu has now turned his attention to Mickey Mouse as his muse. Under his creative lens, and in conjunction with ActionCity, Yu has reimagined Mickey as donning a Jiangshi costume this Halloween, ringing in the spooky season with a little local twist!
Produced exclusively by ActionCity, the Mickey Jiangshi figurine is cast in high-quality vinyl and features seven points of articulation with regular joints. This art figure boasts highly-detailed sculpting with intricate finesse capturing the feel of Jiangshi “realism”, courtesy of Yu’s art direction.
