The graphic designer/illustrator from Italy, Alessandro Randi AKA c o d e c z o m b i e pays homage to the late DANTE ALIGHIERI. In the style of bootleg figures, Alessandro presents to you Dante’s Infernose.
The piece is for a collective exhibition about the face of DANTE ALIGHIERI, the Italian poet who wrote the DIVINA COMMEDIA.
Born in Florence but then exhilarated, he spent the final chapters of his life in Ravenna, my hometown, where he completed and published the DIVINA COMMEDIA.
In Ravenna, we have his tomb, so the city is pretty tied to him, a street, a square and a theatre are named after him.BONOBOLABO is a gallery which held DANTE PLUS, an exhibition at its third edition that asks a group of artists to interpret Dante’s face.
I came out with this concept of making the whole piece Dante’s face, making his nose as it was the “figure” and building a story around it.
In the back of the cardboard, there is an explanation about it.
