We’ve seen the HUGE blue coloured BFF statue and the plush versions of KAWS BFF at Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth and Bangkok  ‎Central Embassy last year. With KAWS having an exhibition at Yuz Museum in Shanghai, China from March 10 through July 31st, 2017 (date TBC) Although the images have been teased and bootlegs at large, can we finally see the official vinyl versions being released?

If we were gamblers we would place a bet right now that we will see either the black or blue vinyl BFF version at Yuz Museum in Shanghai along with numerous releases. What about a black version? From plush to vinyl, anything is possible in our eyes.

One trusty China site and a few clicks of the keys, yup China have released the BFF KAWS. The Bootlegs are available! We won’t provide you with the links but it’s not too hard to find. These things break our heart but really no stopping them apart from not adding fuel the fire.

Let’s face it, if the price is too good to be true then it’s more than likely a fake. Plenty of non-released KAWS figures around for years now. One thing to look forward to is the exhibition at Yuz Museum, Shanghai maybe some releases that we’ve not seen the light being released. KAWS x Medicom’s COMPANION OPEN EDITION keep arriving in museums and a couple of retailers spontaneously, signalling KAWS is still intent on producing vinyl figures. Like we said this is all speculation but hopefully, KAWS will give us the official info. Stay tuned for more info.
