Making Waves is OG Indonesia-based artist Kong Andri with his lastest collaboration with the fine folks at the Museum of Toys! after the wonderful exhibition at Jakarta Illustration & Creative Arts Fair, Kong Andri and Museum of Toys presents to you PORTER BOY which sees Kong’s Owangeboy in an all-new look!
Based on the inspiration from the artist Kong Andri, he observed himself and several other artists while preparing for an exhibition abroad.
Since he had to carry his own suitcases filled with toy figures, a joke emerged: “Are we actually toy designers or porters?” This led to the creation of a character named Porter Boy, depicted as someone wearing porter attire and carrying two suitcases in each hand.
At USS 2024, Museum of Toys presents the concept of MOT a Hotel, where we depict numerous Porter Boys who will escort you to the rooms you’ve booked or paid for. You can choose your preferred Porter Boy according to the number you desire.
