MAGMA x Debza

 MAGMA adds graffiti artist Debza to the roster! Now officially, French artist Debza collaborates with Magma to create his first resin sculpture. This new art collectable, limited to 100 copies, comes with a numbered and signed certificate of authenticity and is presented in a wooden box.

Initially largely inspired by 1980s Japanese culture, Debza has since developed a style entirely his own. Always curious to explore new mediums, it is his iconic cat—seemingly cheerful yet always carrying its stiletto—that serves as a new field of experimentation. With this project, MAGMA brings a new dimension to Debza’s iconic character while faithfully respecting the spirit of his artistic work

«CATWALK» exhibition

On the occasion of the release of his first resin sculpture, created in collaboration with MAGMA, the artist Debza and the studio are proud to present the exhibition «CATWALK» from October 10 to October 13, 2024, in Paris.

His iconic character, which inspired this collaboration, will be featured through various mediums. After gaining recognition for his work in black and white, Debza returns with an exhibition focused on the vibrant use of color, revealing itself in intense and contrasting bursts.

Magma

Magma DSGN draws its origin and identity from a passion for graphic, urban and design culture. The studio provides to artists the opportunity to expand their art into new mediums, particularly sculpture.

These creations are the result of a close collaboration between the artists and the studio to produce original and limited-edition productions. Each project is designed with the artists to reflect their universe as faithfully as possible in order to create a new artwork.

DEBZA bio

Born in Toulouse in 1988, Debza is a self-taught graffiti artist and tattoo artist. Drawing has been a part of his life since childhood, starting on paper, then moving to the walls and trains of his city, to tattooing. His art took shape as he traveled the world, from Montreal to Tokyo, passing through Buenos Aires and Europe.

Debza is known for his ever-evolving style, fueled by his passion and his desire to see each drawing evolve with him. He draws his inspiration from urban art and Japanese culture. His style is a dynamic blend of seriousness and playfulness, capturing the energy of urban culture with bursts of color as well as a mastery of black and white.

Constantly seeking new challenges, Debza doesn’t limit himself to what he has already presented and continually explores new mediums and techniques. He strives to push the boundaries of his art and surprise his audience with innovative and bold creations. Each new series marks a new step in the artist’s evolution, giving each work a unique dimension.»
