5 years ago, South Korea based artist Hyeeun of the White Pin Collective delighted us with Mulmuli. Hyeeun minimalistic style captured our hearts and continued to be on the look out for Hyeeun’s art. Like we said previously, minimalistic art is one thing that is hard to do so perfect, yet the Korean’s seem to have the hang of it. From new characters full to the rim of cuteness. Characters that you don’t necessarily need a story to explain what they are when you look at them. The evolution is here as Mulmuli has taken over various animals!
Mulmuli is a combination of a water drop and a harp seal to imagine melting ice. Environmental issues are often put on the back burner. I have created ‘mulmuli’ because like a water drop is created when the water stop flowing, we need to stop and think about what is most important in our lives – Hyeeun Jung
Hyeeun is the creator of this seal-like character “Mulmuli”. I think why we connect is Mulmuli has the same body shape and eyes as us HA. Now into Mulmuli makes a transition into ceramics with these Mulmuli Animal Series.
