At the beginning of the year, the scene felt a seismic tremor as this amazing art figure, Chú Tễu (inspired by Water Puppet – Folk oratorio Art of Vietnamese People) emerged! Vietnam based Oleander Workshop “Chú Tễu” was in its prototype stage, and boy our predictions were right, this bad boy really did put Vietnam on the spotlight with the Mech/Cyber 20th century with a mixture of folklore and tradition tied into one.
Fast forward to the present day and from what was the concept art from Quyền Xuân Nguyễn, made the debut at last weeks Oleander Workshop “How to make toys at Van Lan Uni”. Chú Tễu squashed out doubts if Oleander Workshop “Chú Tễu” could actually be made.
