A little taste of Hong Kong heads to London’s Designer Con 2021! in a few hours time, Dcon London opens its doors for the first time and our friend’s REALITY GOODS calls upon Multi award-winning artist Chino Lam to reimagine Hong Kong rapper, singer, and songwriter TYSON YOSHI.
The “TYGER” figure designed by CHINO LAM, not only follows the outline of TYSON YOSHI’s hair colour, styling, iconic hand tattoos, and small accessories for daily wear as the base of the design. But also perfectly integrates into the works of CHINO, the iconic eye elements of JIRO and their enthusiasm for comic culture since childhood, bringing an enchanting and unique comic style appearance to the doll; Giving more character to “TYGER”. Chino Lam
World-famous Art toy Artist Chino Lam was born in 1978.
Chino Lam is one of the founders of the brand Mame Moyashi Shacho.
He once worked for the renowned Japanese toy brand Bandai. In 2017 and 2018, he was awarded the “Oscar” in the toy industry, American Toy Award “Designer Toy Awards”. Driven by his passion for sashimi and aquatic creatures, he created a series of original characters featuring sea animals with human attributes. When rendered with traditional mediums such as calligraphy and Ukiyo-e, these cute and monstrous creatures evoke a sense of mismatched aesthetic, emanating a distinct aura that reminisces with street culture spiced up with dark humour.
Tyson Yoshi
Hong Kong Celebrity Tyson Yoshi was born in 1994.
Tyson Yoshi is an independent artist from Hong Kong, well known for his R&B and HIP HOP style. He has produced several works with over a million streaming rates and has also been ranked in the top 10 on various lists such as Youtube and other different music platforms. He is one of Hong Kong’s most well known R&B Hip Hop artists with over 2 million streams on Spotify & Apple Music in more than 100 countries in 2020, one of the highest of any Hong Kong artists.
