Over the weekend Lisa Rae Hansen AKA IbreakToys smashed it yet again with her custom for Clutter Gallery “Kaleidoscope of Kyoot” show, a cute and colourful extravaganza exhibition. Lisa scope of imagination on point with fresh ideas. Up Up Away Kyoot reminds us of our childhood days when we used to use our coats as a cape and pretend we were super heroes around the playground. Today we take a much closer look at Up Up Away Kyoot, oh this isn’t a production toy! Surprised as we are?
“Up Up Away Kyoot” is a self appointed super hero for all things cute. With a homemade costume, a K sewn on his chest, climbed up onto the biggest box he could find, blew the biggest bubble he could in the hopes he would take off into the sky in search of action and adventure.
How cool is the pose and the smaller details like the stitching. Hope the little chap doesn’t blow too hard that he might fart, HA.
With a line-up that included Cat Rabbit, Chernyachi, Claymate Creatures, Crowded Teeth, Cuddly Rigormortis, El Hooligan, Flat Bonnie, Fluffy House, Gail CC, Gretchen Lewis, Grumble Toy, Hanjipan Designs, Hiroshi Yoshii, Horrible Adorables, HungryGhost, Joe Scarano, Josh Mayhem, Kyle Kirwan, Lolle, Maddy Norval, Melodreama, Misfit Menagerie, MJ Hsu, One-Eyed Girl, Seulgie, Silk and Thistle, Stitch of Whimsy, Sugar Fueled, Tomadachi Island, twelveDot, Uamou, Valency Genis, Wesker Zhan and Yoii. Lisa’s Up Up Away Kyoot joined a host of talent on show.
Fingers crossed Lisa will make a few more Up Up Away Kyoot or even have a production made. If you like Up Up Away Kyoot and want to give him a new home buy him now at Clutter Gallery store HERE.
This one-off, mixed medium piece is fabricated with resin, metal and painted with acrylic paint by artist Lisa Rae Hansen. Measures approximately 18 x 8 x 5-cm.
Our top man, Rob Lumino from For The Masses Podcast went live with a Facebook Live session straight from Clutter Gallery tonight. Check it out on Facebook HERE. It is well worth a look, as Rob goes on a tour of Clutter Gallery, checking out all the ace pieces for both the Kaleidoscope of Kyoot show and The Bots Cryptic Creatures solo show (which you can read about HERE). Rob also gives us a glimpse in to the HUGE collect that Miranda & Josh have collected over the years
