The Great Announcement(s).

Firstly, The Toy Chronicle would like to announce their attendance at ToyCon UK 2014 & we’d like for you to join us!

Yup, you heard right, The Toy Chronicle will be sharing a booth at ToyCon UK with… well, lets just say quite a big deal… (but this will have to be kept under wraps for now….)

So, you’ve had your first announcement. Yet, whilst that is fairly major news (for us & hopefully you), we think you guys may have noticed the large featured image at the top of this blog post…

Well, we can announce something that will have you UK artists literally salivating at the mouth…

The Toy Chronicle will be putting on a Custom Series for ToyCon UK. A series that gives every ‘unsigned‘ artist in the UK a chance to show a piece at a major Con. How, you ask? Good question, we say! Read on.

The Toy Chronicle are looking for any UK artist that has never had the opportunity to create a production piece previously, to enter our competition to find 7 lucky UK artists to join our Custom Series at ToyCon UK. We at The Toy Chronicle want to find 7 awesome artists that deserve some extra recognition & put their work in a position to be admired, and hopefully purchased, by the masses at ToyCon UK 2014!

The show will feature 7 Munnys (1 x 7″, 2 x 4″ and 4 x 2.5″ Micro Munnys). The Custom Series will have a theme. Great British Myths & Legends. So, set your minds to the likes of, but not limited to, Loch Ness, Robin Hood, King Arthur, Queen Mother, Beast of Bodmin etc

Each artists that enters will have the opportunity to customise one of the possible 7 Munnys available. Our panel will then decide, from all entrants, the 7 winners and allocate a size of Munny to each artist dependent on their submitted design.

If you’re interested in entering our Custom Series, please email [email protected] for further details. We need all entrants to declare their interest by Wednesday 13th November. Please note that all work will need to be completed by 31st March 2014 – to ensure that work can be shipped to us & photographed in time for ToyCon UK.

Wait, hold the front page. We actually have a third announcement. (Yeah, we like to treat you good people!)

As well as putting our Great British Myths & Legends Custom Series on show at ToyCon UK, we understand that there are a number of artists in the UK (and also Europe) that would very much like to show their work at ToyCon UK but, due to outside circumstances, are unable to do so. This is where The Toy Chronicle comes into help. We would like to offer a section of our space at ToyCon UK to those artists that are not able to attend ToyCon UK or are simply unable to afford the necessary costs to own a booth of their own. Whilst spaces are limited, if you are interested in showing your work at ToyCon UK 2014 – whether these are custom vinyl, plush, print etc – please email us at [email protected] and we’ll be more than happy to discuss the possibilities available.

So there you have it, three awesome The Toy Chronicle announcements. We are all excited to be part of ToyCon UK 2014 and can’t wait to see you all there in April. If you’re still looking to get yourself a ticket, don’t forget we have a competition running right now to win a ticket as well as a JPK doodled T-Con! Head here to find out how you can win this awesome prize.

Thanks for reading & the support!
